For all those who wish to use the Instant Messaging system built into these forums, you will have to manually activate it.

Do this by clicking the "User CP" at the top Left (in the blue bar), and then selecting Options form the left hand menu.

Then select to use the messaging.

Other wise no one can send you a PM and you can't send one either.

If Ian can set the PM as enabled by default then he can delete this post...

Theres a few other things i've noticed,

In my options in User CP the settings 'show signatures' , 'show avatars' etc. weren't ticked. Can't say i even noticed if it was showing avatars or not but i made sure they were ticked all the same.

Also, my 'post view' setting was set to - 'Linear - newest first' which is the opposite way round from the old boards, and personally i find it quite confusing, so thats now changed to 'Linear - Oldest first'.

Just thought i'd point these out incase anyone else came across these problems.

(PS - I've noticed 'enable private messenging' was ticked so i presume the default setting has been changed)
